The airport is about 26 km by road from the Costera Miguel Alemán, Acapulco's main hotel strip, a drive of roughly 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic. Hotels in Acapulco Diamante are closer, usually 15 to 25 minutes away, while Pie de la Cuesta, on the far side of the city, takes about an hour or more.
