Airport Transportation in Dubrovnik

Pre-booked private transportation takes you directly from Dubrovnik Ruđer Bošković Airport to your hotel, resort or vacation rental.

After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue outside the terminal to the meeting area named in your confirmation. Your vehicle is reserved only for the passengers on your reservation: unlike a shared shuttle, it makes no extra hotel stops for other travelers, and the price is per vehicle, not per person.

Airport transportation in Dubrovnik takes you from Dubrovnik Ruđer Bošković Airport to hotels and apartments near the Old Town, in Lapad and Babin Kuk, to the Gruž ferry and cruise port, and to Cavtat and the villages of Konavle.

Dubrovnik Airport Transfers

Our Dubrovnik airport transfers start in the Terminal B arrivals hall, where your driver waits just after baggage reclaim and customs with a sign showing your name. All arriving passengers come out through Terminal B, and we track your flight so the pickup follows your real landing time, even when several summer flights land close together.

Choose a vehicle sized for your party, from a sedan for two to a van for a family or group, and each Dubrovnik airport transfer goes to your hotel, apartment or villa, or to the nearest drop-off point for the car-free Old Town. For the Pelješac peninsula or Montenegro's Bay of Kotor, enter the address in the booking form: when a vehicle is available for that route, the price shows before you pay; if it does not, contact us before you fly.

Dubrovnik Airport Shuttle

Our Dubrovnik airport shuttle is a private van for your party only: it leaves as soon as you have your bags and goes straight to your address, with no stops for other passengers. There is room for suitcases and strollers, so it suits families, wedding groups and friends sharing a villa in Cavtat or Konavle.

Landing at Dubrovnik Airport

Dubrovnik Ruđer Bošković Airport (DBV) is near the village of Čilipi in the Konavle area, southeast of Dubrovnik and inland from Cavtat. Passengers use one combined building: Terminal B handles all arrivals, and Terminal C handles check-in, security and departure gates.

Croatia is in the Schengen Area, so flights from other Schengen countries arrive without passport control, while passengers from the UK and other non-Schengen airports pass through border checks. Baggage reclaim and the arrivals hall are in Terminal B. The hall is compact, and on busy summer afternoons expect queues at passport control.

Dubrovnik is on Central European Time (UTC+1) and switches to summer time (UTC+2) from late March to late October.

Entry requirements and local notes

Schengen entry. Croatia is in the Schengen Area. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you fly.

Car-free Old Town. Vehicles cannot enter Dubrovnik's pedestrian Old Town, so your driver stops at the nearest drop-off point and you walk the last stretch to the gates. Give us your full address so we choose the right side of the walls.

Euro currency. Croatia has used the euro since January 2023, so there is no separate local currency to exchange.

Seasonal flights. Most flights to Dubrovnik run between spring and autumn, and the arrivals hall is busiest in summer, so keep your phone on when you land.

Dubrovnik Airport Transportation FAQs

Where will my driver meet me at Dubrovnik Airport?

Your driver waits in the Terminal B arrivals hall, just after baggage reclaim and customs, holding a sign with your name. All arriving passengers come out through Terminal B.

How far is Dubrovnik Airport from the Old Town?

The airport is about 22.5 km by road from Dubrovnik. The drive usually takes 30 to 35 minutes, but in July and August traffic on the coastal road can stretch it to about an hour.

Can you take me to a hotel or apartment near the Old Town?

Yes. Cars cannot enter the pedestrian Old Town, so your driver stops at the nearest drop-off point and you walk the last stretch. Give us the full address when you book.

Can you take me to Lapad or Babin Kuk?

Yes. We drive you door to door to hotels and apartments in Lapad and Babin Kuk. Give us the hotel name or full address when you book.

Can you take me to the Gruž cruise and ferry port?

Yes. Dubrovnik's cruise and ferry port is in Gruž, west of the Old Town, and your private transfer goes straight to the terminal with your luggage.

Can you take me to Cavtat or elsewhere in Konavle?

Yes. Cavtat and the villages of Konavle are much closer to the airport than Dubrovnik is, and we drive you straight to your hotel, apartment or villa.

Can you take me to the Pelješac peninsula?

Pelješac lies northwest along the coast from Dubrovnik. Enter the address in the booking form: when a vehicle is available for that route, the price shows before you pay; if it does not, contact us before you fly.

Can you take me to Kotor or elsewhere in Montenegro?

Montenegro's Bay of Kotor is across the border from Konavle. Enter the address in the booking form: when a vehicle is available for that route, the price shows before you pay; if it does not, contact us before you fly.

Can you pick me up from a villa or holiday apartment?

Yes. Give the full address, the apartment number and any gate or access instructions when you book, so your driver can find you and load your bags without delay.

Should I accept a ride from people offering one inside the terminal?

No. Turn down drivers who approach you inside the terminal. Your pre-booked driver waits in the Terminal B arrivals hall with a sign showing your name.

What happens if my flight to Dubrovnik is delayed?

We track the arrival of the flight on your reservation, so your driver adjusts to a delay. If your flight number, date or airline changes, or your flight is cancelled, tell customer service so we can move your pickup.

Can I book a ride back to Dubrovnik Airport?

Yes. Book a return from your hotel or villa and give us your flight time, so your pickup leaves enough time for check-in, security and summer traffic.

What do I need to enter Croatia at Dubrovnik Airport?

Croatia is in the Schengen Area, so passengers arriving from non-Schengen countries such as the UK go through passport control. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you fly.

What currency and time zone does Dubrovnik use?

Croatia has used the euro since January 2023. Dubrovnik is on Central European Time (UTC+1) and switches to summer time (UTC+2) from late March to late October.
