Indianapolis International Airport (IND) is the main airport for Indianapolis and central Indiana, in the United States. It sits about 7 miles southwest of downtown Indianapolis, in Marion County.
Southwest carries the most passengers and flies the widest network, and American, Delta, United, Frontier, Allegiant, Alaska and Avelo connect Indianapolis with their hubs and other US cities. International flights go nonstop to Dublin with Aer Lingus and to Toronto with Air Canada, with seasonal service to Cancún, Punta Cana and Los Cabos. FedEx runs its second-largest hub here.
All flights use the Col. H. Weir Cook Terminal, opened in 2008, with two concourses, A and B, and 39 gates. International arrivals are processed at Gates A4 and A5. The five-floor parking garage next to the terminal holds the Ground Transportation Center and the rental car counters.
From the airport, most travelers head into downtown Indianapolis, north to Carmel and Fishers, or further afield to Bloomington and Lafayette.

If you arrive from abroad, you clear US immigration and customs at the international gates, A4 and A5, before entering the terminal. Domestic arrivals walk from the gate through the terminal to baggage claim.
Once you have your bags, follow the signs to the parking garage. Its first floor holds the Ground Transportation Center, where you will find information on limousines, shuttle buses, hotel courtesy vans and IndyGo buses, and the counters for every rental car company. Taxis, rideshare and pre-booked cars each have signposted pickup areas.
IndyGo buses run between the airport and downtown Indianapolis; they are the cheapest option but slower than a car. A Blue Line rapid bus to the airport is being built and is due around 2028.
Indianapolis is on Eastern Time and changes its clocks for daylight saving. Winters can bring snow and ice, so check the forecast before you land.
Most travelers use a rideshare, taxi or pre-booked car, as the airport is 7 miles from downtown and buses are infrequent.
A pre-booked car meets you at the terminal, the easiest option for families, groups and trips to Carmel, Fishers or Bloomington.
Taxis wait at the signposted rank. Downtown is a short ride, and the fare stays modest.
Rideshare apps pick up at the signposted zone. Fares rise at busy times and during big events downtown.
Public buses connect the airport with downtown Indianapolis. The cheapest option, but slower than a car.
Shuttle buses and hotel courtesy vans are arranged through the Ground Transportation Center in the parking garage.
