Sobre Norman Manley International Airport

Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) is the international airport serving Kingston, the capital of Jamaica, and the south and east of the island. It is a hub of Caribbean Airlines, which flies from Kingston to New York, Toronto, Nassau, Port of Spain and other Caribbean islands. Other airlines link Kingston with Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, Toronto, London, Panama City and the Caribbean, including American Airlines, JetBlue, Delta Air Lines, Air Canada, WestJet, British Airways and Copa Airlines.

All passengers use one terminal, with a departure pier of nine loading bridges and a separate arrivals area and baggage hall.

The airport sits on the Palisadoes, the narrow strip of land that encloses Kingston Harbour, with the city across the water on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other. Central Kingston is about 19 km away by road: Downtown Kingston is usually about 20 minutes' drive and New Kingston about 30 minutes.

From the airport, travelers head to New Kingston and Half Way Tree, Downtown Kingston and the waterfront, historic Port Royal at the tip of the Palisadoes, and further to the Blue Mountains, Spanish Town and Ocho Rios on the north coast. Travelers bound for Montego Bay usually fly into Sangster International Airport (MBJ) instead.

After you leave the aircraft, follow the Arrivals signs to the immigration hall. Jamaica asks every visitor to complete the Immigration and Customs Declaration (C5) form, which you can fill in online at enterjamaica.gov.jm before you fly; bring a valid passport and a return or onward ticket. Customer service desks and a first aid point are in the immigration hall if you need help.

Collect your bags in the baggage hall, where trolleys are free and Red Cap porters wait at the exit, then pass through customs. Past customs you come out into the Arrivals ground transportation hall, where you find the car rental desks, currency exchange and ATMs, the authorized taxi desks of JUTA and JCAL, and hotel and tour operator desks.
