Our Amsterdam airport shuttle is a private van for your party only: it leaves Schiphol as soon as you have your bags and goes straight to your address, with no stops for other passengers. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) is in the municipality of Haarlemmermeer, southwest of Amsterdam, and is the hub of KLM. It has one terminal building with three departure halls and several arrival halls, all opening onto Schiphol Plaza, and a railway station directly beneath it.
On a flight from outside the Schengen Area you go through passport control before baggage claim; flights from other Schengen countries arrive without a passport check. After baggage claim and customs you come out into your arrival hall and on into Schiphol Plaza. The screens in the terminal and the Schiphol app show which arrival hall your flight uses.
Amsterdam is on Central European Time (UTC+1) and switches to summer time (UTC+2) from late March to late October.
Schengen entry. The Netherlands is in the Schengen Area. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you fly.
Offers inside the terminal. Turn down drivers who approach you inside the terminal offering a ride, and look for your driver at the meeting point in Schiphol Plaza.
Euro and cards. The Netherlands uses the euro, and cards are accepted almost everywhere, often more readily than cash.
