Bahrain International Airport (BAH) is the airport of the Kingdom of Bahrain, on Muharraq Island just northeast of Manama, and the hub of Gulf Air. All scheduled passenger flights use one Passenger Terminal, which opened in 2021 and has 24 departure gates.
After you leave the aircraft, follow the signs to immigration, where eligible e-passport holders can use the e-Gates and other travelers use the counters. Arrivals Duty Free is before customs. Collect your bags in the baggage reclaim hall, then take the Green Channel if you have nothing to declare or the Red Channel if you do, and continue into the Arrivals Area, where you will find currency exchange, ATMs and SIM card stores.
Bahrain is on Arabia Standard Time (UTC+3) all year, with no daylight saving time.
Visa or eVisa. Citizens of GCC countries do not need a visa. Other nationalities can apply for an eVisa before travel or, for many passports, get a visa on arrival. Check the rules for your nationality on Bahrain's official eVisa website before you fly.
Passport and onward ticket. Your passport should be valid for at least six months from arrival, and you may be asked for a return or onward ticket.
Customs. Use the Green Channel if you have nothing to declare and the Red Channel if you do. Carry prescription medicines and syringes in their original containers with the prescription.
Ride-hailing pickup. Uber and Careem pick up at the Arrivals curbside next to Gate 1, not at the taxi rank.
Bahraini dinar. Bahrain uses the Bahraini dinar (BHD), and currency exchange counters and ATMs are in the Arrivals Area.

Your driver meets you in the Arrivals Area of the Passenger Terminal, after customs, and walks with you to the car outside. Every flight uses the same terminal, so all travelers come out into the same area. Check the company name in your confirmation before you get in, and keep your phone on so the driver can reach you.
Bahrain International Airport is about 8 to 10 km from central Manama, on Muharraq Island across the causeways. The drive usually takes 15 to 25 minutes, longer at rush hours or when heading to busy areas such as the Diplomatic Area or Juffair. Allow extra time on weekday evenings.
Yes. We drive you door to door to hotels, serviced apartments and offices in Manama's Diplomatic Area, near Bab Al Bahrain and Manama Souq, and in Seef, Juffair and Adliya. Give us the full address or hotel name when you book, so your driver goes straight to the right entrance and you can head to your room as soon as you arrive.
Yes. The Amwaj Islands and the town of Muharraq are on the same side of the causeways as the airport, so they are a short ride away. Give us the hotel name or the full address of your villa or apartment, including any gate or compound details, so your driver can reach the door without delay.
Yes. Sakhir lies in the south of the island, further from the airport than Manama. Enter your hotel or the circuit address in the booking form: when a vehicle is available for that route and date, the price shows before you pay. If it does not, share the address with us before you fly and we will confirm.
Possibly. Trips across the King Fahd Causeway to Saudi Arabia depend on the vehicle, the driver's permits and your own entry documents for Saudi Arabia. Share the full address when you book and we will confirm whether a cross-border transfer is available for your date. Do not travel on the assumption that it is booked until we confirm it.
Bahrain International Airport has one Passenger Terminal, used by every scheduled passenger airline, including Gulf Air. All arriving travelers clear immigration and customs in the same building and come out into the same Arrivals Area, so you do not need to tell us a terminal number, only your flight number and arrival date.
Yes. You can book a pickup for any arrival time, day or night, including flights that land after midnight or before dawn. Enter your flight number and landing time in the booking form: when a vehicle is available for that time, it shows before you pay, and your driver is scheduled around your flight.
We track the arrival of the flight on your reservation, so your driver adjusts to a delay. If your flight number, date or airline changes, or your flight is canceled, tell customer service as soon as you can so we can move your pickup to the new arrival.
Yes. Book a return from your hotel or residence in Bahrain and give us your flight time, so your pickup leaves enough time for check-in, security and passport control. You can book it on the same reservation as your arrival or separately, and give the pickup address in full.
No. Turn down rides offered inside the Arrivals Area. Your pre-booked driver meets you after customs; check that the company name matches your confirmation before you get in. If you cannot find your driver, call the number in your confirmation rather than going with someone else.
Citizens of GCC countries do not need a visa. Other nationalities can apply for an eVisa before travel, and many passports can also get a visa on arrival. Your passport should be valid for at least six months from arrival, and you may be asked for a return or onward ticket. Check the official eVisa website before flying.
Bahrain's weekend falls on Friday and Saturday, and some offices and businesses keep shorter hours or close on those days. The country uses Arabia Standard Time, UTC+3, all year, with no daylight saving time, so check your landing time on that clock when you book your pickup.
