After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue outside the terminal to the meeting area named in your confirmation. Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) is Bangkok's main international airport, in Bang Phli district, Samut Prakan province, east of the city. It is a different airport from Don Mueang (DMK), so check which one your ticket shows. All passengers arrive through one large main terminal; if your flight parks at the SAT-1 satellite concourse, an underground people mover takes you there.
Screens behind passport control show your baggage belt. After customs you come out into the arrivals hall on Level 2, where pre-booked drivers wait with name signs. Immigration lines are usually longest from about 1 pm to 5 pm.
Bangkok is on Indochina Time (UTC+7) all year, with no daylight saving time. It is hot year-round, with a rainy season from about May to October.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC): Foreign visitors must complete the free TDAC at tdac.immigration.go.th within the three days before arrival. Since 15 September 2026 the visa exemption for most eligible nationalities is 30 days, so check the rule for your passport.

Meet at your gate number: The Level 2 arrivals hall is long, so keep the gate number from your confirmation handy and look for your name sign there.

Suvarnabhumi is about 25 km east of downtown Bangkok. By car, Sukhumvit and Silom are usually 45 to 75 minutes away, and the trip can take longer in evening traffic or heavy rain.
No. Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Don Mueang (DMK) are two separate Bangkok airports. Suvarnabhumi handles most long-haul flights, while Don Mueang serves many low-cost airlines. This page books pickups at Suvarnabhumi only, so check the code on your ticket.
