Hamad International Airport (DOH) is the airport of Doha, the capital of Qatar, on the eastern edge of the city, and the hub of Qatar Airways. Passengers use one main terminal, with departure gates spread across Concourses A to E. It replaced the old Doha International Airport (DIA) for scheduled passenger flights in 2014.
After you leave the aircraft, follow the Arrivals signs to immigration; if you are connecting to another flight, follow the Transfer signs instead and stay airside. Collect your bags in the baggage reclaim hall, then pass through customs into the Arrivals Hall on the ground level.
Qatar is on Arabia Standard Time (UTC+3) all year, with no daylight saving time.
Visa and Hayya. Many nationalities can enter Qatar visa-free, while others must apply and be approved through the Hayya platform before flying. Check the rules for your nationality before you travel.
Passport validity. Your passport should be valid for at least six months from arrival, and you may be asked for a return or onward ticket.
Qatari riyal. Qatar uses the Qatari riyal (QAR), and cards are widely accepted.
Summer heat. Doha summers are very hot and humid, so plan for high temperatures if you arrive between June and September.

Take Karwa taxis from the Taxi Pavilion or use an authorized rideshare app rather than accepting rides offered inside the terminal.

The airport is about 18 km from Souq Waqif and the Corniche and about 20 km from West Bay. The drive usually takes 20 to 30 minutes outside weekday rush hours.
