East Midlands Airport (EMA) is at Castle Donington in north-west Leicestershire, beside the M1, and Manchester Airports Group runs it. All passenger flights use one terminal, with the coach station for the Skylink buses next to it.
International arrivals clear UK passport control first, where many visitors can use the eGates; flights from Ireland and Belfast are within the Common Travel Area. After baggage claim you pass through the green or red customs channel into the arrivals hall, where pre-booked drivers meet passengers.
The UK is on GMT in winter and BST (GMT+1) in summer, and it uses pounds sterling.
Entry to the UK. Unless you hold a British or Irish passport or a UK visa, you need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before you travel; that includes EU and US citizens. Apply online well ahead.
Nottingham Airport. Many people call East Midlands Airport Nottingham Airport. Airline flights to Nottingham land at East Midlands (EMA), not at the small airfield at Tollerton, so check the code on your ticket.
Drop-off charges. East Midlands charges cars that drop off outside the terminal, so your driver parks in the Short Stay parking lot and meets you in the arrivals hall.
Donington Park events. The circuit next to the airport hosts races and the Download Festival in June, when the roads around the airport get busy, so give us your exact address and event details.

There is no need. Booking ahead gives you a confirmed vehicle and a meeting point before you land. If someone approaches you in arrivals, check the company name against your confirmation before getting in.
We monitor the flight on your reservation, so your driver waits for the actual landing. If your flight number, date or airline changes, or your flight is canceled, tell customer service so the pickup can be moved.
Yes. Book a one-way departure or a round trip from your hotel or home, and give your flight number and departure time, so the pickup leaves time for check-in and security.
