Hurghada International Airport (HRG) stands inland, southwest of Hurghada's old town, and has two separate terminal buildings, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, both handling international and charter flights. Check your ticket for your terminal and give it to us when you book.
If you do not have an e-Visa, buy your visa-on-arrival sticker at the bank counters in the arrivals hall before you join the passport control line. Lines can be long when several charter flights land together. After passport control you collect your bags at baggage claim and pass through customs; only travelers may enter the terminal, so pre-booked drivers wait outside the arrivals exit.
Egypt is on Eastern European Time (UTC+2), and UTC+3 during summer daylight saving time. It uses the Egyptian pound.
Egypt visa. Most visitors need a visa. Apply for an e-Visa at visa2egypt.gov.eg before you fly, or, if your nationality qualifies, buy a visa on arrival in cash at the bank counters before passport control. Your passport should be valid for at least six months.
Phones. Visitors' own phones are exempt from Egypt's phone import fees for 90 days after arrival, and a phone roaming on a foreign SIM is exempt too.
Drones. Drones need a permit in Egypt, and customs can hold one found in your luggage without it.
Egyptian pound and tips. Egypt uses the Egyptian pound. Small notes are handy for porters and tips, and cards are widely accepted in the resorts.

The airport is about 5 km (3 miles) from El Dahar, around 15 minutes by car, and the Sheraton Road and Village Road hotels are a short drive away. Sahl Hasheesh is about 20 minutes south, Makadi Bay about 25 to 30 minutes, El Gouna about 30 to 35 minutes north, and Soma Bay about 40 to 45 minutes.

Yes. Give the full address, the compound or building name and any gate details. In gated compounds your driver stops at the gate or the nearest point the security staff allow.
Yes. Many flights to Hurghada land late in the evening or overnight, and your pickup is set for your flight's landing time. Give us the correct flight number so we can track it.
There is no need. Booking ahead gives you a confirmed vehicle and a meeting point before you land. If someone offers you a ride or help with your bags, check the company name against your confirmation before getting in.
We monitor the flight on your reservation, so your driver waits for the actual landing. If your flight number, date or airline changes, or your flight is canceled, tell customer service so the pickup can be moved.
