Ibiza Airport (IBZ), also called Eivissa Airport, is the airport for the island of Ibiza in the Balearic Islands. It sits on the south of the island, southwest of Ibiza Town and close to Platja d'en Bossa and Ses Salines. Aena runs it, and all flights use a single terminal with one runway alongside it.
Vueling, Iberia and Air Europa fly year-round to Barcelona, Madrid and Palma, and in summer Ryanair, easyJet, Jet2 and TUI add many seasonal routes across Europe. Flights from Spain and other Schengen countries arrive without passport checks. If you come from outside the Schengen area, as many summer passengers do from the UK, you queue at passport control. On peak summer weekends, when many flights land together, passport control and baggage claim can be slow. Pre-booked drivers meet passengers in the arrivals hall.
Spain is on Central European Time (UTC+1) and switches to UTC+2 for daylight saving time from late March to late October.
Requisitos de entrada y notas locales
Schengen entry. Spain is in the Schengen area. Arrivals from outside it, including the UK, go through passport control. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you fly.
Summer peak. In July and August many flights land close together and demand for rides is at its peak, so book your transfer before you fly.
Villa addresses. Many country villas on Ibiza have no street number, so give the villa name, the nearest village and a map pin when you book.
Formentera. Formentera has no airport; ferries leave from the port in Ibiza Town. Give us your sailing time when you book, so your drop-off fits it.
Euro and cash. Spain uses the euro; carry some cash for small purchases.
