Kansas City International Airport (MCI) sits in Platte County, northwest of downtown Kansas City, Missouri. Since 2023 every flight uses a single terminal with two concourses, A and B, so arrivals, baggage claim and pickups are all in one building.
Most flights are domestic; international arrivals clear US immigration and customs before reaching the public area. Winters can be cold and snowy and summers hot. Kansas City is on Central time.
