The Stansted Express is direct, but it stops at Liverpool Street, at the eastern edge of the City: most hotels are still a taxi or an Underground ride away, with your suitcases. Coaches take longer once they reach London traffic, and a taxi from the rank is metered all the way.

Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall, helps with the luggage and takes you straight to your hotel, apartment, station or meeting, in London, Cambridge or anywhere in the east of England.

Allow extra time on weekday mornings and evenings, when the M11 and the M25 slow down.
Stansted has one terminal, with check-in, arrivals and departures under the same roof, so there is no terminal to choose. Most flights are short-haul across Europe, with Ryanair, easyJet and Jet2 the largest airlines.

Yes. Heathrow is usually 75 to 110 minutes away around the M25, and Gatwick longer. There is no direct train, so a private transfer avoids several changes with your bags.
The Stansted Express is quick if you are staying near Liverpool Street and travel light. A private transfer is booked in advance at a fixed price per vehicle and takes you door to door, which suits families, groups, heavy luggage and early or late flights.
