Pre-booked private transportation takes you directly from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport to your hotel, resort or vacation rental.
After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue outside the terminal to the meeting area named in your confirmation. Your vehicle is reserved only for the passengers on your reservation: unlike a shared shuttle, it makes no extra hotel stops for other travelers, and the price is per vehicle, not per person.

Mauritius airport transfers start in the Tour Operators and Hotels Hall on Level 0, where your driver waits with a name sign as you come out of customs. We track your flight, so the pickup follows your real landing time, and the price is fixed per vehicle and agreed before you fly. Choose a sedan for two or a van for a family or group with luggage.

Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (MRU), also called Mauritius Airport or SSR, is at Plaine Magnien in the southeast of the island, near Mahébourg. All flights use one passenger terminal, opened in 2013.
You go through immigration and health formalities in the hall on Level 2, then collect your bags on Level 0; strollers and oversized items come out next to belt 1. After customs you walk into the Tour Operators and Hotels Hall, where the exchange counters, the tourist desk and the taxi counter are, and where pre-booked drivers meet passengers.
Mauritius is on Mauritius Time (UTC+4) all year, with no daylight saving time, and uses the Mauritian rupee.
Entry rules. Many nationalities, including British visitors, enter Mauritius visa-free for short stays; others need a visa in advance or on arrival. Your passport must be valid for your whole stay, and immigration may ask for a return or onward ticket.
All in One Travel Form. Fill in the Mauritius All in One Travel Form on the official Safe Mauritius website before you fly and keep the QR code to show on arrival. Use only the government site, as look-alike sites exist.
Health checks. Travelers arriving from countries where malaria is common may be asked for a blood sample at the airport.
Rupees and driving on the left. Mauritius uses the rupee, so change some money in the arrivals hall for tips and small purchases. Traffic drives on the left.

The airport is in the southeast of the island, about 48 km (30 miles) from Port Louis. The drive to Grand Baie in the north usually takes about an hour and a quarter, to Flic en Flac or Le Morne in the west about an hour, and to Belle Mare in the east under an hour. Mahébourg and Blue Bay are a few minutes away.

One. All international flights and the domestic flights to Rodrigues use the same passenger terminal, and every arriving passenger comes out into the same Tour Operators and Hotels Hall.
Yes. Give the full address, the villa or residence name and any gate or access details. Some private estates have a security gate, so tell us the name the guard will expect.
Yes. Book with your flight number and your driver is scheduled for your actual landing time, including late arrivals. For an early departure, give your flight time and we set the pickup from your hotel accordingly.
There is no need. Booking ahead gives you a confirmed vehicle and a meeting point before you land. If someone approaches you in the arrivals hall, check the company name against your confirmation before getting in.
We monitor the flight on your reservation, so your driver waits for the actual landing. If your flight number, date or airline changes, or your flight is canceled, tell customer service so the pickup can be moved.
Yes. Book a one-way departure or a round trip from your hotel or villa, and give your flight number and departure time, so the pickup leaves time for check-in and security.
Yes. Complete the Mauritius All in One Travel Form on the official Safe Mauritius website before you fly and keep its QR code. Without it, you fill in a disembarkation card at the airport, which takes longer.
