Melbourne Airport (MEL), often called Tullamarine, is about 22 km northwest of the Melbourne CBD and operates 24 hours a day. Its four terminals sit side by side: Terminal 1 for Qantas domestic flights, Terminal 2 for all international flights, Terminal 3 for Virgin Australia and Terminal 4 for Jetstar, Rex and Link Airways.
International passengers pass immigration, collect their bags and then clear customs and biosecurity before entering the Terminal 2 arrivals hall. Domestic passengers collect bags in Terminals 1, 3 or 4, depending on the airline.
Victoria uses UTC+10, moving to UTC+11 for daylight saving from early October to early April.
Requisitos de entrada y notas locales
Visa or ETA before you fly. Every visitor except New Zealand citizens needs a visa or travel authority before flying, such as an ETA through the AustralianETA app or an eVisitor for many European passports.
Biosecurity declaration. Declare all food, plant material and animal products on the Incoming Passenger Card; selected Qantas flights let you use the digital Australian Travel Declaration instead. Undeclared items can bring penalties.
Tullamarine, not Avalon. Melbourne Airport (MEL) is a different airport from Avalon (AVV), about 50 km southwest of the CBD near Geelong. Check your ticket before you book this page.
Daylight saving. Melbourne moves from UTC+10 to UTC+11 from early October to early April, so enter your flight's local arrival time.
