New Chitose airport transfers start in the arrivals lobby of the terminal where your flight lands, the International Terminal for flights from abroad or the Domestic Terminal for flights within Japan, and your driver waits there with a name sign. We track your flight, so the pickup follows your real landing time, winter snow delays included, and you choose the vehicle for your party, from a sedan for two to a minivan or minibus for a family or group with skis and luggage.
Each New Chitose airport transfer goes door to door to your hotel, apartment or office in Sapporo, around Sapporo Station, Ōdōri or Susukino, to a hotel in Chitose, or to Lake Shikotsu. For addresses in Sapporo, the fare for each vehicle shows in the booking form before you pay. Going on to Niseko, Rusutsu, Furano, Otaru or Noboribetsu? Our New Chitose airport shuttle is a private car or van for your party only, not a shared bus that stops at several hotels on the way into Sapporo. It leaves as soon as you are through arrivals, with room for suitcases, skis and snowboards, and suits families, ski groups and travelers arriving in winter weather.

New Chitose Airport (CTS) is the main airport for Sapporo and the island of Hokkaido, next to the city of Chitose, southeast of Sapporo. It has a semicircular Domestic Terminal with 18 gates, known for its hot-spring spa, cinema, museums and hotel, and an International Terminal, expanded in 2019; the two are connected inside the airport, so you can walk between them. New Chitose shares its area with the Chitose Air Base.
On an international flight you go through quarantine, then immigration, where foreign visitors have their fingerprints and photo taken, and then customs. Registering your details on Visit Japan Web before you fly can speed things up. Domestic flights arrive with no checks. After baggage claim you come out into the arrivals lobby, where pre-booked drivers meet passengers.

New Chitose is Sapporo's airport. New Chitose (CTS) is the airport most travelers mean by "Sapporo airport". Sapporo's small city airport, Okadama, has only a few regional flights and is not covered on this page.
