Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is in New Jersey, southwest of Manhattan, between Newark and Elizabeth. It has three terminals, A, B and C, linked by the AirTrain, which also runs to the Newark Airport rail station; Terminal C is United's hub, and Terminal A opened as a new building in 2023.
International arrivals clear US immigration and customs in Terminal B or C before baggage claim, and queues can be long when several transatlantic flights land together. Newark is on Eastern time.
