Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (NCE) is the airport for Nice and the French Riviera, on the seafront west of the city center. It has two terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, and both handle domestic, European and international flights, so check the terminal on your boarding pass. A free shuttle bus links them.
Flights from other Schengen countries arrive without passport checks. From outside the Schengen area, including the UK, the US and the Gulf, you pass border police before baggage claim, where EU, EEA and Swiss citizens with biometric passports can often use the PARAFE automated gates. After baggage claim you walk through customs into the arrivals hall of your terminal, where pre-booked drivers meet passengers.
France is on Central European Time (UTC+1) and switches to UTC+2 for daylight saving time from late March to late October. It uses the euro, and so does Monaco.
Requisitos de entrada y notas locales
Schengen entry. France is in the Schengen area. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you fly.
Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. Each terminal has its own arrivals hall, so give your flight number and arrival terminal when you book.
Monaco. There are no border checks between France and Monaco. During the Monaco Grand Prix, many streets in the principality close for the race circuit, so give your full address when you book.
Event dates in Cannes. Cannes hosts the Film Festival each May and other large events at the Palais des Festivals; on those dates the roads around Cannes are busy, so give your full address and keep your flight details up to date.
Old Town streets. Many streets in Nice's Old Town are pedestrian, so your driver stops at the nearest point a car can reach.
