Ramón Villeda Morales International Airport (SAP) is in La Lima, southeast of San Pedro Sula, and is one of Honduras' main international gateways. One terminal handles all domestic and international flights, with check-in, immigration, customs and baggage claim in the same building.
After landing you pass immigration and customs, collect your bags and walk out of the arrivals hall. Car rental counters are inside the hall, and pre-booked drivers wait just outside the exit. ATMs and exchange booths are in the terminal.

Entry rules. Honduras made its online immigration pre-check optional for most travelers in 2024, keeping it only for certain nationalities. Check the Instituto Nacional de Migración (INM) website shortly before you fly, and keep your passport ready for immigration and customs.
Addresses. Give the full address with the neighborhood (colonia) and a nearby landmark, so your driver finds a family home or office without delay.
Lempira currency. Honduras uses the lempira (HNL), and ATMs and exchange booths are inside the terminal.
Heat and humidity. San Pedro Sula is hot and humid most of the year, so keep light clothing and water handy when you step outside.
