We track your flight, so the pickup follows your real landing time, and the price is fixed per vehicle before you fly, from a sedan for two to a van for a family or group with luggage.
Each STT airport transfer goes door to door to your hotel, resort, villa or cruise ship, or to the ferry dock at Red Hook or Charlotte Amalie for St. John and the British Virgin Islands; we drive you to the dock, and the boat ride is booked separately. Our St. Thomas airport shuttle is a private van for your party only, not one of the shared taxi vans that wait for several groups and stop at other hotels on the way. It suits families, groups with dive or golf gear, and cruise passengers heading to the pier.

Cyril E. King Airport (STT) is on Lindbergh Bay, on the south shore of St. Thomas west of Charlotte Amalie, and the Virgin Islands Port Authority runs it. All flights use one two-story terminal with 11 gates, so there is no terminal to choose.
Flights from the US mainland and Puerto Rico are domestic: there is no passport control, and you walk straight to the domestic baggage claim. Arrivals from other islands outside the US, such as Tortola, St. Barths or St. Maarten, clear US Customs and Border Protection first. Pre-booked drivers meet passengers as they leave baggage claim.
The terminal is open from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and through December 31, 2026, the runway closes nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for pavement work. St. Thomas is on Atlantic Standard Time (UTC-4) all year, with no daylight saving time, and uses the US dollar.
US entry rules. The US Virgin Islands is a US territory. US citizens flying from the mainland or Puerto Rico need no passport, only a REAL ID-compliant photo ID; international visitors need a passport and, depending on nationality, an ESTA or a US visa.
Customs on the way home. Flights back to the mainland pass a US Customs check before security, so carry proof of US citizenship, such as a passport, and allow extra time at the airport.
Driving on the left. Traffic keeps to the left in the US Virgin Islands, even though most vehicles are left-hand drive, and many roads are steep and narrow.

Customs on departure
Flights back to the mainland go through a US Customs check before security, so keep proof of citizenship and allow extra time.

Traffic in the US Virgin Islands keeps to the left, although most cars are left-hand drive.

Official taxis have a dome light and "TP" on the license plate, and their rates are set by the Taxicab Commission.

The airport is about 2 miles (3 km) west of downtown Charlotte Amalie, around 10 minutes by car. Red Hook, on the East End, is usually 30 to 45 minutes away, depending on traffic.
