Tenerife Norte-Ciudad de La Laguna Airport (TFN), also known as Tenerife North or Los Rodeos, stands on a plateau at 633 m in the north of Tenerife, beside San Cristóbal de La Laguna. It is the Tenerife hub of Binter Canarias and handles mostly flights to the other Canary Islands and mainland Spain. Passengers use one terminal, with an inter-island area for flights to the other islands.
On most flights, which come from within Spain or the Schengen Area, you walk straight from the aircraft to baggage claim. Arrivals from outside the Schengen Area pass border control first. After collecting your bags, continue into the arrivals hall on Floor 0.
The Canary Islands are on Western European Time (UTC+0 in winter, UTC+1 in summer), one hour behind mainland Spain.
ID on domestic flights. Most arrivals are from within Spain or the Schengen Area, with no passport control, but airlines require a valid passport or national ID card to board.
Border control for non-Schengen arrivals. Travelers from outside the Schengen Area go through border control, where the EU Entry/Exit System records non-EU visitors' entry with a facial image and fingerprints. Check whether your nationality needs a visa for Spain before you travel.
Canary Islands customs. The Canary Islands are outside the EU VAT area, so tax-free allowances apply to tobacco, alcohol and other goods you take on to mainland Spain or other EU countries.
Official taxi rank. Taxis pick up only at the official rank on Floor 0; ignore drivers who approach you inside the terminal.

Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall on Floor 0 of the terminal, after you collect your bags, and walks with you to the car. Every flight, including inter-island flights from the other Canary Islands, uses the same terminal, so all travelers come out into the same hall. Check the company name before you get in.
The airport is about 2 km from the historic center of San Cristóbal de La Laguna and about 10 km from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, both reached by the TF-5 motorway. Puerto de la Cruz is about 26 km away on the north coast. Allow extra time at weekday rush hours, when the motorway between La Laguna and Santa Cruz is busy.
No. Tenerife North (TFN) is near La Laguna and handles mostly flights to the other Canary Islands and mainland Spain. Tenerife South (TFS) is about 80 km away by road and serves most international flights. Check the code on your ticket. Costa Adeje and Los Cristianos are about 80 km away in the south of the island, and Teide National Park is up in the mountains. Share the address when you book and we'll confirm the trip; if a vehicle is available for that route, the price shows before you pay.
Your transfer can be booked for any arrival time on your flight. Give us your flight number when you book, and your driver plans the pickup around the scheduled landing. Late-evening and early-morning arrivals are common on inter-island and mainland flights, so book ahead rather than relying on finding transport when you land.
We track the arrival of the flight on your reservation, so your driver adjusts to a delay. Low cloud sometimes affects flights at Tenerife North, so if your flight number, date or airline changes, or your flight is diverted or canceled, tell customer service so we can move your pickup.
Yes. Book a return from your hotel or home in La Laguna, Santa Cruz, Puerto de la Cruz or elsewhere on Tenerife, and give us your flight time. Make sure your flight leaves from Tenerife North (TFN) and not Tenerife South, so your driver takes you to the right airport.
