Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) is southeast of Fort Myers, beside I-75, and the Lee County Port Authority runs it. It has one terminal with three concourses, B, C and D, which are not connected airside; a new Concourse E is under construction.
Most flights are domestic, so you walk from your gate straight down to Bag Claim on the lower level, where flights from every concourse arrive. Flights from Toronto, Montréal and Ottawa usually clear US border checks in Canada; other international arrivals, such as the Frankfurt flight, go through US Customs and Border Protection in the international arrivals facility on the lower level of Concourse B first. Pre-booked drivers meet passengers at Bag Claim.
Fort Myers is on Eastern Time (UTC-5), and UTC-4 during daylight saving time from March to November.
US entry. Most flights to Fort Myers are domestic. International visitors need a US visa or, for Visa Waiver Program countries, an approved ESTA before they fly, and clear US Customs and Border Protection at their first US airport.
Check your airport code. This page is for Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW). Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) to the north and Page Field (FMY) in Fort Myers are different airports, so check the code on your ticket.
Bridge tolls. The Sanibel Causeway and the Cape Coral and Midpoint bridges over the Caloosahatchee River are toll bridges, so routes to Sanibel, Captiva and Cape Coral cross a toll.
Gated communities. Many condos and homes in Naples, Bonita Springs and Estero are in gated communities. Give the community name, your full address and any gate code or guest registration so your driver can be cleared at the gate.
