Nevşehir Kapadokya Airport (NAV) stands at Tuzköy in the Gülşehir district, northwest of Nevşehir, and is the closer of the two airports serving Cappadocia. Passengers use one terminal; its new building opened in stages in 2026.
Most flights arrive from Istanbul, so if you are coming from abroad you normally clear passport control in Istanbul and land here as a domestic passenger, with your bags checked through on a single ticket. The terminal is small, so baggage claim is a short walk from the aircraft, and pre-booked drivers wait at the arrivals exit.
Turkey uses Turkey Time (UTC+3) all year and does not change clocks for daylight saving.
Visa or e-Visa. Many nationalities, including US, Canadian, UK and Australian citizens, can visit Turkey visa-free for up to 90 days in 180, while others need an e-Visa from evisa.gov.tr before departure. Your passport should be valid for at least six months from arrival.
Nevşehir, not Kayseri. Cappadocia has a second airport, Kayseri Erkilet (ASR). Check that your ticket says NAV before you book this page.
No airport bus. There is no Havaş or city bus at the airport, so book your onward ride before you land.
Winter snow. Cappadocia has cold, often snowy winters, so pack warm layers from December to February.
