Ponciano Arriaga International Airport (SLP) sits north of San Luis Potosí city, off Highway 57. It has one terminal, so baggage claim and the arrivals exit are a short walk from the gate.
International arrivals clear immigration and customs inside the same terminal; queues are usually short. The city is at about 1,850 m (6,100 ft), with cool nights for much of the year. San Luis Potosí is on Central Mexico time.
