Seville Airport (SVQ), also known as San Pablo Airport, is the airport for Seville and western Andalusia. It sits east of central Seville, beside the A-4 highway toward Córdoba and Madrid. Aena runs it, and all flights use a single terminal, first built for the Expo '92 world's fair and enlarged between 2019 and 2022, with 19 boarding gates.
Many aircraft park at remote stands, so you often reach the terminal by bus from the plane. Flights from Spain and other Schengen countries arrive without passport checks; if you come from outside the Schengen area, for example from the UK or Morocco, you queue at passport control. Once you have your bags, pre-booked drivers meet passengers in the arrivals hall.
Spain is on Central European Time (UTC+1) and switches to UTC+2 for daylight saving time from late March to late October.
Schengen entry. Spain is in the Schengen area. Arrivals from outside it, including the UK, go through passport control. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you fly.
Old town streets. Some central streets in the old town and Santa Cruz are closed to cars, so give your full address when you book; your driver stops at the nearest point a car can reach.
Holy Week and the April Fair. During Semana Santa and the Feria de Abril in spring, the city fills up and some central streets close for processions and the fairground, so allow for detours.
Euro and cash. Spain uses the euro; carry some cash for small purchases.
