Sobre Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport (CKG) is the main airport of Chongqing, the city on the Yangtze and Jialing rivers in southwest China. It is a hub for Sichuan Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Chongqing Airlines, China Southern Airlines, West Air and China Express Airlines, and a focus city for Air China, which together link Chongqing with most large Chinese cities. International routes reach Southeast Asia, Seoul, Tokyo, Doha and, with Hainan Airlines, Air China and Tianjin Airlines, cities in Europe, Oceania and North America.

Since December 2025 every passenger flight uses Terminal 3: Terminal 3A holds check-in, security, arrivals and all international flights, and the Terminal 3B satellite, opened in April 2025, adds domestic gates reached by an underground people mover. Terminal 2 has no flights.

The airport sits in Liangjiang New Area, about 20 km north of Jiefangbei in Yuzhong, usually a 30 to 60 minute drive depending on traffic. Metro Line 10 stops at Terminal 3, and an underground railway station links the airport with Chongqing North.

From the airport, travelers head to Jiefangbei and Hongyadong, Chaotianmen and the Yangtze cruise piers, Guanyinqiao, Ciqikou Ancient Town, Chongqing North and Chongqing West railway stations, and further out to Wulong and Dazu.

Consejos de llegada a Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport

Every flight now arrives at Terminal 3. If you land on an international flight, or on a flight from Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan, follow the Arrivals signs in Terminal 3A to immigration, where foreign visitors show their passport and arrival card, then collect your bags and pass through customs into the international arrivals hall. Domestic flights park at Terminal 3A or at the Terminal 3B satellite; from a 3B gate you ride the underground people mover back to Terminal 3A, where baggage claim and the domestic arrivals hall are.

Official taxis wait at the rank on Level 1. Ride-hailing cars do not stop at the arrivals curb: follow the Ride-hailing (网约车) signs to the pickup bays in the Terminal 3 parking structure. Most payments are made with Alipay or WeChat Pay, so set one up with an international card before you fly. Chongqing is on China Standard Time (UTC+8) all year.
