Main Terminal
The single passenger terminal, used by every scheduled airline for both international and regional flights, with one arrivals hall after immigration and customs.
También conocido como: St. Kitts Airport, SKB Airport, Saint Kitts Airport, Robert Bradshaw Airport, Basseterre Airport. Antes Golden Rock Airport.
SKB · TKPK · Basseterre
Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport (SKB) is the main airport of St. Kitts and Nevis, on the island of St. Kitts in the Eastern Caribbean. It sits at Golden Rock on the northeastern edge of Basseterre, the capital, and is named after Robert L. Bradshaw, the first Premier of St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla.
Long-haul flights come from the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. American Airlines flies from Miami year-round, with seasonal flights from New York and Charlotte, and Delta, United, JetBlue, Air Canada Rouge and British Airways add routes from Atlanta, Newark, New York, Toronto and London Gatwick. Regional carriers such as Winair, InterCaribbean Airways, Sunrise Airways and Cape Air link St. Kitts with Antigua, Sint Maarten, Barbados, San Juan and other nearby islands.
All passenger flights use one terminal, with a single arrivals hall, and a private terminal beside it serves private jets and VIP passengers. The airport has one runway of about 2,439 m (8,000 ft).
The airport is about 3 km (2 miles) from downtown Basseterre and the Port Zante cruise pier, a drive of around 10 minutes. Most travelers continue to hotels in Basseterre and Frigate Bay, to South Friar's Bay, or along the Southeast Peninsula to Christophe Harbour. Nevis, the sister island, is reached by ferry from Basseterre or by the Sea Bridge car ferry from Major's Bay.

Before you fly, complete the free online immigration and customs ED form at knatravelform.kn, and check whether your passport also needs an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), which visitors from the US and Canada must have. Your passport should be valid for six months beyond your stay.
After landing you walk into the terminal for immigration. Eligible passport holders can use the automated kiosks or the biometric corridor, and everyone else lines up at the officers' desks. Baggage claim is next, followed by customs, and then a single exit into the arrivals hall.
Outside the arrivals hall you find the taxi stand with its dispatcher and the car rental pickups. Taxis have no meters: fares are fixed by zone and posted at the airport, so confirm the total and whether it is in EC or US dollars before you set off. There are no public buses at the terminal.
St. Kitts is on Atlantic Standard Time all year, the same as Eastern Daylight Time in summer, and uses the Eastern Caribbean dollar, with US dollars widely accepted. Traffic drives on the left.
Most visitors take a taxi or a pre-booked car, since no public buses serve the terminal.
Taxis wait at the stand outside arrivals, with a dispatcher. They are unmetered and charge posted zone fares for up to four passengers, with a surcharge late at night, so agree the total and the currency first.
A pre-booked car or van meets you outside arrivals and drives you straight to your hotel, villa or the ferry, which suits families, groups and late arrivals.
Several agencies deliver cars at the airport. You need a temporary local driving permit, issued by the rental agency, and traffic drives on the left.
For Nevis, take a taxi or transfer to the passenger ferry terminal in Basseterre or to Major's Bay for the Sea Bridge car ferry. The crossing itself is short, but timetables are limited, so check the last departure.

Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport is about 3 km (2 miles) from downtown Basseterre, on the capital's northeastern edge at Golden Rock. The drive to the center and the Port Zante cruise pier takes around 10 minutes. Frigate Bay is a short drive further south, and the Southeast Peninsula with Christophe Harbour takes longer along the peninsula road.
The IATA code for St. Kitts is SKB, and the ICAO code is TKPK. The airport's official name is Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport, after the first Premier of St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla, and it was formerly called Golden Rock Airport. Nevis has its own smaller airport, Vance W. Amory International (NEV).
St. Kitts has one passenger terminal, used by every scheduled airline for international and regional flights. Arriving passengers go through immigration, baggage claim and customs and leave through a single arrivals hall. A separate private terminal beside it, the YU Lounge, serves private jets and passengers who book its VIP service.
American Airlines flies from Miami year-round, with seasonal flights from New York JFK and Charlotte. Delta, United and JetBlue add flights from Atlanta, Newark and New York, Air Canada Rouge flies from Toronto in winter, and British Airways serves London Gatwick. Winair, InterCaribbean, Sunrise Airways and Cape Air connect nearby islands.
You need a passport valid for six months beyond your stay and, depending on nationality, a visa. Every arriving traveler completes the free online immigration and customs ED form at knatravelform.kn, and visitors from many countries, including the US and Canada, also need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before they fly. Check the current rules for your passport.
There is no road link, so you continue by sea or air. Passenger ferries leave from the ferry terminal in Basseterre for Charlestown, and the Sea Bridge car ferry runs from Major's Bay on the Southeast Peninsula. Water taxis also cross from the peninsula, and Cape Air flies to Nevis's own airport.
Yes. Taxis wait at the stand outside the arrivals hall, with a dispatcher. They have no meters and charge fixed fares by zone, posted at the airport, for one to four passengers, with a surcharge late at night. Confirm the total and whether it is quoted in EC or US dollars before you leave.
No public buses serve the terminal. St. Kitts has privately run minibuses, marked with H license plates, on the island's main road, but they do not go to Frigate Bay or the Southeast Peninsula, and service thins out in the evening and on Sundays. Most visitors take a taxi or a pre-booked car from the airport.
Yes. Several rental agencies deliver cars at the airport. Visitors need a temporary local driving permit, which the rental agency issues on presentation of a home license. Traffic drives on the left, roads are narrow in places, and many rental contracts do not allow the car on the Sea Bridge ferry to Nevis.
Yes. The YU Lounge is a private terminal beside the main terminal, opened in 2014. It serves private jet passengers and commercial passengers who book its VIP service, with a greeting at the aircraft, fast-track immigration and customs, refreshments and Wi-Fi. Contact the lounge ahead of your trip for access.
St. Kitts and Nevis uses the Eastern Caribbean dollar (XCD). US dollars are widely accepted in hotels, shops and taxis, though change often comes back in EC dollars. The airport has a currency exchange counter and ATMs, and cards are accepted at most hotels and larger restaurants.
St. Kitts and Nevis is on Atlantic Standard Time, UTC-4, all year, with no daylight saving time. That matches Eastern Daylight Time in the US summer and is one hour ahead of New York in winter. Flight times shown on your ticket for arrival in St. Kitts are local time.
Cruise ships dock at Port Zante in central Basseterre, about 3 km (2 miles) from the airport. Passengers starting or ending a cruise in St. Kitts travel between the airport and the pier by taxi or pre-booked car, a drive of around 10 minutes. The Basseterre ferry terminal for Nevis is beside the cruise pier.
