Ministro Pistarini International Airport (EZE), known as Ezeiza, is the main international airport of Buenos Aires, in the town of Ezeiza south-southwest of the city center. It is a separate airport from Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP), which sits inside the city and handles most domestic flights.
All arrivals at Ezeiza, international and, since July 2026, domestic, come out in Terminal A. On an international flight you clear Argentine immigration first, then collect your bags at the belts and pass through customs into the arrivals hall. Check-in for all departures is in the Departures Terminal opened in 2023, and Terminal C handles domestic departures; the three buildings stand side by side.
Buenos Aires uses Argentina Time (UTC-3) all year, with no daylight saving time.
Entry to Argentina. Citizens of many countries, including the United States, can visit Argentina for up to three months without a visa, and your passport must be valid on arrival. Some nationalities that need a visa can apply online for the electronic travel authorization (AVE) instead.
Ezeiza or Aeroparque. Ezeiza handles most international flights, while most domestic flights use Aeroparque Jorge Newbery inside the city. Check which airport your next flight uses before you book your ride back.
Lettered pickup points. Cars collect passengers at lettered pickup points outside Terminal A. If you step outside before you see your driver, tell them which letter you are standing at.
Argentine peso and seasons. The currency is the Argentine peso, so check which currency a fare is quoted in before paying at the airport counters. Seasons are reversed from the Northern Hemisphere: December to February is summer.
