Dublin Airport (DUB) is Ireland's main international gateway, in north County Dublin just south of Swords and outside the city proper. It is operated by daa and is the hub of Aer Lingus.
The airport has two terminals about a 10-minute walk apart: Terminal 1 handles most short-haul European flights, while Terminal 2 is home to Aer Lingus and the US airlines. Ireland is not part of the Schengen Area, so every international arrival goes through Irish border control. You then collect your bags in the baggage hall and pass customs into the public arrivals hall of your terminal.

Irish border control. Ireland is not part of the Schengen Area. An Irish immigration officer checks your passport, any visa and supporting documents and, if you are admitted, stamps your passport with how long you may stay, up to 90 days for visitors. Adult EU, EEA and Swiss passport holders can use the eGates in both terminals. Check whether you need an Irish visa for your nationality before you travel.
Check your terminal. Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 each have their own arrivals hall, taxi ranks and bus zones, so note which one you land at and which one your return flight leaves from.
Use the rank or your booked driver. Only take rides from the official taxi ranks or from a driver you booked.
Changeable weather. Dublin's weather is mild but changeable, so keep a rain jacket handy at any time of year.

Ireland is outside the Schengen Area, so you go through Irish passport control, where visitors are usually given up to 90 days.

Ireland uses the euro, and cards are widely accepted, though Dublin Bus does not take bank cards on board.
