Our Gran Canaria airport shuttle is a private van for your party only, not a tour operator coach that stops at hotel after hotel on the way down to the resorts. It leaves as soon as you have your bags, with room for suitcases, strollers, golf bags and bikes, and suits families and groups heading to Maspalomas or Puerto de Mogán.

Gran Canaria Airport (LPA), also known as Las Palmas Airport or Gando Airport, is on the Bay of Gando on the island's east coast, and Aena runs it. All flights use one terminal, divided into zones: A for inter-island flights, B and C for Spanish and Schengen flights, and D for international flights outside the Schengen area.
Flights from mainland Spain and other Schengen countries arrive without passport checks; from outside the Schengen area, including the UK and Ireland, you go through passport control first. Arrivals are on the ground floor: collect your bags in one of the two baggage claim halls, where customs is, then walk out into the arrivals hall, where pre-booked drivers meet passengers.
The Canary Islands are on Western European Time (UTC+0, UTC+1 from late March to late October), one hour behind mainland Spain. Spain uses the euro.
Schengen entry. The Canary Islands are part of Spain and the Schengen area. Non-EU travelers arriving from outside it are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you fly.
Customs limits. The Canary Islands are outside the EU VAT and customs area, so duty-free limits on tobacco, alcohol and other goods apply even on flights from mainland Spain, and again when you fly back.
One hour behind Madrid. The islands run one hour behind mainland Spain, so give your flight times in local Canary Islands time, especially for a return pickup after a connection.
Official taxis only. Aena advises taking taxis only from the signposted stand outside the terminal; ignore anyone offering rides inside arrivals and check the company name on your confirmation.

The airport is on the east coast beside the GC-1 highway, about 19 km (12 miles) south of Las Palmas and about 25 to 30 km from Playa del Inglés and Maspalomas. Puerto de Mogán is about 45 km away, a drive of roughly 30 to 45 minutes.

Yes. Give the full address, the complex or villa name and any gate or reception details. Where a street is pedestrian or too narrow for a car, your driver stops at the nearest point a car can reach.
Yes. Book with your flight number, and your driver meets the flight whatever time it lands, as long as the pickup is on your reservation. For an early departure, book the ride back to the airport too.
There is no need. Booking ahead gives you a confirmed vehicle and a meeting point before you land. If someone approaches you in arrivals, check the company name against your confirmation before getting in.
We monitor the flight on your reservation, so your driver waits for the actual landing. If your flight number, date or airline changes, or your flight is canceled, tell customer service so the pickup can be moved.
Yes. Book a one-way departure or a round trip from your hotel, villa or apartment, and give your flight number and departure time in local Canary Islands time, so the pickup is set for check-in and security.
