After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue outside the terminal to the meeting area named in your confirmation. Ho Chi Minh airport transfers start at the arrivals exit of your terminal, where your driver waits with a name sign once you are through immigration, baggage claim and customs. We track your flight, so the pickup follows your real landing time, and you choose the vehicle for your party, from a sedan for two to a van for a family or group with luggage, at a fixed price per vehicle agreed before you fly.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) stands inside Ho Chi Minh City, north of the center, and has three terminals. International flights use Terminal 2; domestic flights use Terminal 1 (VietJet Air) or Terminal 3 (Vietnam Airlines and several other carriers), so check your ticket for the terminal.
On an international arrival you go through immigration with your passport and e-visa or visa exemption, collect your bags at baggage claim and walk through customs to the arrivals exit, where pre-booked drivers meet passengers. Domestic arrivals skip immigration and customs.
Vietnam is on Indochina Time (UTC+7) all year, with no daylight saving time, and uses the Vietnamese dong.
E-visa or exemption. Most nationalities need an e-visa, issued online through Vietnam's official portal for stays of up to 90 days. Citizens of the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland can stay up to 45 days visa-free. Check the rules for your passport before you fly.
New addresses. In 2025 Ho Chi Minh City replaced its numbered districts with wards, so a hotel may list a new ward or the old district. Give the full street address and the property name.
Tet holiday. Around the Lunar New Year, usually late January or February, the airport and roads are at their busiest, so book early if you travel then.
Cash and dong. Vietnam uses the dong, and cash is still common for small purchases; ATMs are in the arrivals hall.

Passport validity
Carry a passport valid for at least six months, as airlines and immigration commonly check it.
Vietnamese dong
Vietnam uses the dong; ATMs and exchange counters are in the arrivals hall, and cash is still widely used for small purchases.
SIM cards
Viettel, Mobifone and Vinaphone sell SIM cards near the arrivals exits, and you need your passport to buy one.
Unofficial drivers
Decline anyone offering rides inside the terminal and check the company name on your confirmation before getting in.
