Augusto C. Sandino International Airport (MGA) is Nicaragua's main international gateway, on the eastern side of Managua, and is run by the state company EAAI. One passenger terminal handles both international flights and La Costeña's domestic flights to Bluefields, Corn Island and Puerto Cabezas, so immigration, baggage claim, customs and the arrivals exit are all in the same building.
After landing you go through immigration, collect your bags in baggage claim and pass through customs before walking out to the arrivals area, where pre-booked drivers wait with name signs. The terminal has a bank for exchanging money into Nicaraguan córdobas (NIO).
Managua is on Central Standard Time (UTC−6) all year, with no daylight saving time.
