Marseille Provence Airport (MRS) is in Marignane, on the shore of the Étang de Berre, northwest of Marseille. It has two terminals: Terminal 1, with Hall A and Hall B, reopened in an extended form in June 2024 for Air France, the North African carriers and most scheduled airlines, and Terminal 2 (MP2), a separate building used by Ryanair, easyJet and Aer Lingus.
On flights from inside the Schengen Area you walk straight to baggage claim; from other countries you pass passport control first. After collecting your bags and passing customs, you come out into the arrivals area of your terminal.
Marseille uses Central European Time (UTC+1) and switches to summer time (UTC+2) from late March to late October.
Requisitos de entrada y notas locales
Schengen entry. France is in the Schengen Area. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you fly.
Check your terminal. Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 (MP2) are separate buildings with their own arrivals areas, so check the terminal on your ticket and give the right flight number when you book.
Mistral wind. Marseille's strong mistral wind can affect flights at times, so keep the flight details on your reservation up to date.
Euro. France uses the euro, and cards are widely accepted.
