Sangster International Airport (MBJ) is on the eastern edge of Montego Bay, on Jamaica's north coast, and is the island's main arrival point for visitors. It has one main passenger terminal, with an eastern concourse for departures, used by all scheduled airlines.
On arrival you clear immigration first: if you filled in the C5 form online, you scan your passport at a kiosk and take the receipt to an officer; if not, tablets and staff in the immigration hall can help, though that line is longer. Then you collect your bags and choose a customs line: nothing to declare, items to declare, or special assistance. Past customs you reach the ground transportation hall.
Jamaica stays on Eastern Standard Time (UTC-5) all year and does not observe daylight saving time.
C5 form online. Fill in Jamaica's Immigration/Customs Declaration (C5) form online up to 30 days before you fly, so you can use the passport kiosks on arrival. You can still complete it on arrival.
Passport and return ticket. Visitors need a valid passport and should carry a return ticket.
Jamaican dollar. The currency is the Jamaican dollar, and US dollars are widely accepted in tourist areas.
No clock change. Jamaica does not use daylight saving time, so from March to November its clocks differ from New York's; check your pickup time against local time.

Sangster International Airport is about 3 miles (4.8 km) east of downtown Montego Bay, and the Hip Strip on Gloucester Avenue is in town. Negril is about 80 km (50 miles) west, usually 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes by road, and Ocho Rios about 97 km east, about an hour and a half.
