Oslo Airport, Gardermoen (OSL) is Norway's main international airport. It sits at Gardermoen in Akershus county, north of Oslo, and is run by Oslo Lufthavn AS, part of state-owned Avinor. All flights use one terminal building, with domestic flights at the A and C gates, Schengen flights at the D and E gates and non-Schengen flights at the F gates.
If you arrive from outside the Schengen Area, you pass passport control before baggage claim; flights from other Schengen countries arrive without passport checks. Because Norway is not in the EU, Norwegian customs allowances apply. After customs, you exit into the arrivals hall, where pre-booked drivers wait.
Oslo is on Central European Time (UTC+1) and moves to UTC+2 from late March to late October.

Entry rules. Norway is in the Schengen Area but not the EU. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you travel.
Book taxis, don't flag them. The airport advises booking a taxi at the machines outside the terminal or in an app, because unbooked taxis can charge very different fares. Your pre-booked driver meets you inside the arrivals hall instead.
Winter weather. Winters are cold and often snowy from November to March. Keep warm layers in your hand luggage, and allow extra time on winter return trips to the airport.
