Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP) is the city airport of Buenos Aires, on the Río de la Plata waterfront next to Palermo. It handles most domestic flights in Argentina, to places such as Bariloche, Mendoza, Salta, Iguazú and Ushuaia, plus some short international routes in the region.
Travelers landing at Ezeiza on an international flight often connect at Aeroparque to continue around the country. The two airports are on opposite sides of the city, so a domestic connection means a road transfer across Buenos Aires and a fresh check-in at Aeroparque.
Aeroparque is also close to the Palermo and Belgrano neighborhoods and the Costanera riverside, so some travelers stay nearby the night before an early domestic flight.
