Fortaleza–Pinto Martins International Airport (FOR) is the main gateway to Brazil’s northeastern coast. Located about 10 km (6 miles) from downtown Fortaleza, the airport handles millions of passengers each year, with flights to and from major Brazilian cities and select international destinations, particularly in Europe and South America.
The airport features two terminals (domestic and international) and has recently undergone renovations to improve passenger experience. Facilities include ATMs, currency exchange booths, car rentals, free Wi-Fi, restaurants, and duty-free shops. Signs are in Portuguese and English, making navigation relatively easy for international travelers.
