LAX is the primary airport serving Los Angeles and one of the largest international gateways to and from the United States. Located in the Westchester neighborhood, about 18 miles southwest of Downtown Los Angeles, LAX has nine passenger terminals connected by a U-shaped, two-level road system. The airport is a hub for several major airlines including Delta, American, United, and Alaska, and serves more than 88 million passengers annually.
From luxury lounges to retail stores, LAX continues to undergo improvements to enhance passenger experience, including the modernization of terminals and more efficient security processes. The airport also features the LAX-it lot, an area specifically designed for pickups from ride-share and taxi services, helping to reduce congestion at the terminals.
