The metro is quick if you travel light, but it means escalators, ticket machines and often a change of line with your suitcases, and it only takes you to a station, not your door. Taxi queues build up when several flights land together, and outside Paris the meter runs.
A private transfer is arranged before you fly, at a price set per vehicle rather than per person, so you know the cost before you land. Your driver meets you in the arrivals area, helps with the luggage and takes you straight to your hotel, apartment, train station or meeting, in Paris or anywhere in Île-de-France.
Your driver collects you at your hotel or address at the time you choose and drops you at the departures level of your terminal. Plan on reaching the airport about 2 hours before a flight within Europe and 3 hours before a long-haul flight, and allow more time at weekday rush hours.

Paris-Orly lies 13 km south of central Paris, straddling the Val-de-Marne and Essonne departments. Typical drive times from the terminal, in normal traffic:
Allow extra time on weekday mornings and evenings, when the A6, A86 and the périphérique slow down.
Orly has four terminals in one continuous building: Orly 1 and 2 (gates A–C), Orly 3, the central hall opened in 2019 (gates D–E, with the metro line 14 station beside it), and Orly 4 (gates E–F). You can walk between them indoors. Air France stopped flying from Orly at the end of March 2026, and Air France-KLM's flights here are now run by Transavia, so check the airline and terminal on your booking and give us your flight number.
