London City Airport (LCY) is in the Royal Docks in east London, and all flights use its one two-story terminal. There are no jet bridges, so you walk from the aircraft into the terminal, and the airport is small enough that arrival is usually quick.
Every flight lands at UK passport control: holders of eligible passports, including those of the EU, the US, Canada and Australia, can use the eGates, and others wait in line for an officer. After baggage claim you pass through customs into the arrivals hall, where pre-booked drivers meet passengers. The London City Airport DLR station and the taxi stand are just outside.
The UK is on Greenwich Mean Time (UTC+0) and switches to British Summer Time (UTC+1) from late March to late October. It uses the pound sterling.
UK ETA. The UK is not in the Schengen area or the EU, so EU and US citizens and most other visitors who do not need a visa must have an approved Electronic Travel Authorisation before they fly, children included. British and Irish passport holders do not need one. Check the rules for your nationality on GOV.UK before you travel.

Weekend hours. The airport closes on Saturday afternoon and reopens on Sunday late morning, so there are no Saturday afternoon or evening flights; check your flight time when booking a return trip at the weekend.
