Airport Transportation in Aeroparque

Pre-booked private transportation takes you directly from Aeroparque Jorge Newbery to your hotel, resort or vacation rental.

After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue outside the terminal to the meeting area named in your confirmation. Your vehicle is reserved only for the passengers on your reservation: unlike a shared shuttle, it makes no extra hotel stops for other travelers, and the price is per vehicle, not per person.

Airport transportation from Aeroparque takes you from the city airport on the Palermo waterfront to your hotel or apartment in Palermo, Recoleta, Retiro, Puerto Madero, San Telmo or downtown around the Obelisco, or across town to Ezeiza for a long-haul flight.

Aeroparque Airport Transfers

Our Aeroparque airport transfers start in the public arrivals area on the ground floor of the terminal, where your driver meets you after you collect your bags, or after customs on an international flight, and walks with you to the car outside. Domestic and international flights arrive in the same terminal, and we track your flight so the pickup follows your real landing time.

Enter your hotel or address in the booking form to see the vehicles available for your route, priced per vehicle before you pay. Unlike a line at the taxi ticket machines, your car is booked before you land. Each Aeroparque airport transfer goes door to door, whether you are staying in Palermo, a Recoleta hotel, a Puerto Madero tower or an apartment in San Telmo, or heading on to Ezeiza or the Buquebus ferry terminal.

Aeroparque Airport Shuttle

Our Aeroparque airport shuttle is a private van for your party only: it leaves as soon as you are out of arrivals and goes straight to your address, with no stops for other passengers. There is room for suitcases and gear, so it suits families, groups and travelers flying in from Patagonia or the north with ski or trekking equipment.

Landing at Aeroparque Airport

Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP) is the city airport of Buenos Aires, on the Río de la Plata waterfront in the Palermo neighborhood. It handles most domestic flights and many regional international routes; long-haul flights use Ezeiza (EZE), a separate airport outside the city.

Passengers use one terminal, with the domestic and international sectors side by side. On a domestic flight you come down from the gates to the ground floor, collect your bags at the belts and walk out into the public arrivals area. On an international flight you clear Argentine immigration first, then collect your bags and pass through customs before you exit. Some flights park at remote stands, and a bus takes you from the aircraft to the terminal.

Buenos Aires uses Argentina Time (UTC-3) all year, with no daylight saving time.

Entry requirements and local notes

Entry to Argentina. Citizens of many countries, including the United States, can visit Argentina for up to three months without a visa, and your passport must be valid on arrival. Some nationalities that need a visa can apply online for the electronic travel authorization (AVE) instead.

Aeroparque or Ezeiza. Most domestic and regional flights use Aeroparque, while long-haul international flights use Ezeiza. Check the airport code on your next ticket before you book your ride back.

No left luggage. There is no luggage storage or lockers in the terminal, so plan where your bags will go if your hotel check-in is later in the day.

Argentine peso. The currency is the Argentine peso, so check which currency a fare is quoted in before paying at the airport counters or machines.

Aeroparque Airport Transportation FAQs

Where will my driver meet me at Aeroparque?

Your driver meets you in the public arrivals area on the ground floor of the terminal, after you collect your bags, or after customs if you arrive on an international flight. Domestic and international flights use the same terminal, so all travelers come out on the same floor. Your driver then walks with you to the car outside.

Aeroparque or Ezeiza: which page do I need?

This page is for arrivals at Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP), the city airport in Palermo that handles most domestic and regional flights. If you land at Ezeiza (EZE), the international airport outside the city, book on our Buenos Aires airport transportation page instead. Check the airport code on your ticket before you book.

How far is Aeroparque from downtown Buenos Aires?

Aeroparque is inside the city, in Palermo, north of downtown. The drive to the Obelisco area usually takes about 20 minutes in light traffic, and Palermo, Recoleta and Retiro are closer still. Puerto Madero and San Telmo are a little farther south, and weekday rush hours can add time to any trip across the city.

Can you take me to Palermo or Recoleta?

Yes. We drive you door to door to hotels and apartments in Palermo Soho, Palermo Hollywood, Recoleta and the rest of northern Buenos Aires. Give us the full address or hotel name when you book, including the apartment number and any building access details, so your driver goes straight to the right entrance.

Can you take me to Puerto Madero, San Telmo or downtown?

Yes. Enter your hotel or apartment address in Puerto Madero, San Telmo, Monserrat or downtown around the Obelisco when you book, and your driver takes you straight there from Aeroparque in a vehicle sized for your party and luggage, with no stops for other passengers along the way.

Can you take me from Aeroparque to Ezeiza?

Yes. If you are connecting to a long-haul flight at Ezeiza, enter Ezeiza as your drop-off when you book. The two airports are about 38 km apart, around 40 minutes by the toll highway in light traffic, so leave plenty of time between flights to collect your bags, cross the city and check in again.

Can you take me to the ferry to Colonia or Montevideo?

Yes. Enter the Buquebus ferry terminal at Dársena Norte as your drop-off, and book a sailing that leaves time for your landing, the drive and the ferry's check-in and border control. For trips farther out, such as Tigre or La Plata, share the address when you book and we'll confirm.

Can I book a pickup for a late-night or early-morning flight?

Yes. The terminal at Aeroparque is open 24 hours, and you can request a pickup for a late-night or early-morning arrival. Enter your flight number and landing time when you book, and the vehicles available for that time show before you pay. Your driver meets you in the arrivals area as usual.

What happens if my flight to Aeroparque is delayed?

We follow the arrival of the flight on your reservation, so your pickup adjusts to a delay. If your flight number, date or airline changes, if your flight is diverted to Ezeiza, or if it is canceled, tell customer service as soon as you can so we can move your pickup.

Can I book a ride back to Aeroparque?

Yes. Book a ride from your hotel or apartment and give us your flight time, so your pickup leaves enough time for check-in and security. Check first that your flight leaves from Aeroparque and not from Ezeiza, since the two airports are on opposite sides of the city.

Do I need a visa to enter Argentina?

Citizens of many countries, including the United States, can visit Argentina for up to three months without a visa. Some nationalities that need a visa can apply online for the electronic travel authorization (AVE). Your passport must be valid on arrival. Check the official list for your nationality before you travel to Aeroparque.

What time zone is Buenos Aires in?

Buenos Aires uses Argentina Time, UTC-3, all year and does not change its clocks for daylight saving time. Check your pickup time against local time, especially when you fly in from Brazil, Chile or another country, and remember that seasons are reversed: December to February is summer in Buenos Aires.
