About Beauvais-Tillé Airport

Beauvais-Tillé Airport (BVA), branded Paris Beauvais Airport, serves Beauvais in the Oise department of northern France and is used by many travelers heading to Paris. It stands in the commune of Tillé, just outside Beauvais, about 85 km (53 miles) north of Paris by road along the A16 motorway.

The airport is a base for low-cost flights. Ryanair operates about 80% of its routes, to cities in Spain, Italy, Portugal, Morocco, Ireland, the UK and Central and Eastern Europe, and Wizz Air flies to Romania, the Balkans, Poland and the Caucasus. Volotea, HiSky and a few other airlines add more routes, and the airport handled about 6.7 million passengers in 2025.

Two terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, stand side by side and are joined by a pedestrian link; both handle Schengen and non-Schengen flights. The terminals close to the public overnight.

From the airport, most travelers head to central Paris, usually on the Aerobus coach to Porte Maillot or by car, which takes about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Others go into Beauvais itself, take the TER train from Beauvais station to Paris Gare du Nord, or continue to Disneyland Paris, Rouen and Normandy, or Amiens.

Arrival tips for Beauvais-Tillé Airport

If you arrive from outside the Schengen area, for example from the UK, Morocco or the Balkans, you queue at passport control, where non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System. Flights from Schengen countries arrive without passport checks.

Your flight arrives at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, which stand side by side; airlines use both, so check the screens. Baggage claim is short, and the baggage service and lost property desk is in the arrivals hall of each terminal if a bag is missing.

Outside, the Aerobus coaches to Paris Porte Maillot leave from in front of both terminals and are timed to arrivals, with the last coaches waiting for late flights. The taxi rank and the local bus to Beauvais station are near the terminals, and the airport information office is at the bus station. Pre-booked drivers usually meet you in the arrivals hall. Paris is still about 85 km away, so allow for traffic on the A16 if you have a train or an appointment to make.

France is on Central European Time and uses the euro.

Ground transportation

Most travelers to Paris take the Aerobus coach; a taxi or pre-booked car is easier late at night, with a group or with lots of luggage.

  • Aerobus shuttle to Paris Porte Maillot

Line A01 leaves from in front of both terminals about 20 minutes after landings and reaches Porte Maillot, in Paris's 17th arrondissement, in about 1 hour 15 minutes or more, depending on traffic. It waits for the last flights, but you still need the Metro or a taxi from Porte Maillot to your hotel.

  • Aerobus to Paris La Villette

Line A04 runs about 10 return trips a day to La Villette in northeast Paris, taking about 1 hour 30 minutes; book online.

  • Bus and TER train via Beauvais station

Corolis bus line 6 runs to Beauvais station in about 15 minutes, about every 30 minutes, and TER trains run from there to Paris Gare du Nord in about 1 hour 15 minutes. It means two changes with your luggage.

  • Taxi from Beauvais airport

Taxis wait at the rank by the terminals. The ride to Paris covers about 85 km and takes 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic, so it is a long, costly fare unless you share it.

  • Private transfer

A pre-booked car meets you in the arrivals hall and drives you door to door, useful for families, groups, late arrivals and trips to Disneyland Paris or Normandy.
