Integrated Terminal
The only passenger terminal, handling all domestic and international flights, with separate domestic and international areas.
Also known as: Goa Airport, GOI Airport, Dabolim Airport, South Goa Airport, Goa Dabolim Airport, Dabolim International Airport. Formerly Aeroporto General Bénard Guedes, Aeroporto de Dabolim.
GOI · VOGO · Dabolim
Goa International Airport (GOI), widely known as Dabolim Airport, serves the state of Goa on India's west coast. It stands at Dabolim in South Goa, about 4 km from Vasco da Gama and about 30 km south of Panaji, the state capital. The Airports Authority of India runs the passenger terminal as a civil enclave inside INS Hansa, an Indian Navy air station.
Most flights are domestic. IndiGo, Air India Express, Air India and Alliance Air link Goa with Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata and many other Indian cities. International traffic is mostly seasonal, with flights to Moscow and charters from Central Asia in the winter season. The airport handled about 6.1 million passengers in the year to March 2026, fewer than before Goa's second airport, Manohar International at Mopa in North Goa, opened in January 2023.
All flights use one integrated terminal, opened in December 2013, with domestic and international areas and eight aerobridges.
From the airport, many travelers head to the South Goa beaches around Colva, Benaulim and Palolem, or to Margao, about 23 km away. Others drive north through Panaji to Calangute, Baga and Anjuna, roughly 40 to 46 km from the terminal.

On an international flight, you go first to immigration. Have your passport, your e-Visa or visa, and the QR code from your e-Arrival Card ready: India requires foreign nationals and OCI cardholders to file the card online within 72 hours before arrival. Domestic passengers skip immigration and walk straight to baggage claim.
There is one terminal, so you cannot end up in the wrong building. After baggage claim, international passengers pass through customs before entering the arrivals hall. Baggage carts are free, and an ATM and currency exchange counters are in the terminal if you need rupees.
Only passengers with a ticket may be inside the terminal, so anyone meeting you waits outside the arrivals exit. Signs lead to the pickup area near the arrival hall, where the prepaid taxi counter and the GoaMiles app taxi counter are. Use the official counters or the driver you booked, and decline offers from people approaching you inside.
India is on Indian Standard Time (UTC+5:30) all year.
Most travelers take a prepaid taxi or a pre-booked car; buses are cheap but slow with luggage.
Buy a slip at the prepaid taxi counter near the arrivals exit and the fare is fixed before you set off. Panaji is about 45 minutes to an hour away, depending on traffic.
GoaMiles, the app-based taxi service backed by the Goa government, has a counter beside the prepaid taxi counter, and you can also book through its app.
Local buses and minibuses run to Vasco da Gama and Chicalim, where you change for Panaji or Margao. They are often crowded and not very frequent, so they suit light travelers.
Car rental desks are in the arrivals area, offering cars with or without a driver; self-drive rentals ask for a deposit.
A pre-booked car meets you outside the arrivals exit and goes door to door, useful for families, late arrivals and resorts in far South or North Goa.

Dabolim Airport is about 30 km (19 miles) south of Panaji, the capital of Goa. The drive usually takes 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic on the route over the Zuari bridge. Prepaid taxis, app taxis from the GoaMiles counter and pre-booked cars wait outside the arrivals exit.
Calangute and Baga in North Goa are roughly 40 to 42 km from Dabolim Airport, and Anjuna is about 46 km. The road runs north through Panaji, so expect a drive of an hour or more, longer in evening traffic. Travelers heading mainly to North Goa should also check whether a flight to Mopa suits them better.
Margao, the main town of South Goa, is about 23 km from Dabolim Airport, and the beaches of Colva and Benaulim lie just west of it. Agonda is about 63 km away and Palolem a little farther south, so allow more time for the far south of the state, where roads are narrower.
Goa has two airports. Dabolim (GOI), officially Goa International Airport, is in South Goa near Vasco da Gama and shares its airfield with the Indian Navy. Manohar International Airport (GOX) at Mopa opened in January 2023 in the far north of the state, about 60 km away. Check the code on your ticket, because the two are more than an hour apart.
Dabolim Airport has one integrated terminal, opened in December 2013, for both domestic and international flights. It has separate domestic and international areas and eight aerobridges. All arriving passengers leave through the same arrivals exit, so there is no terminal to choose when someone meets you.
IndiGo flies the most routes from Dabolim, to cities across India such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata. Air India, Air India Express and Alliance Air add more domestic flights. International service is mostly seasonal, including Aeroflot to Moscow and winter charters from Kazakhstan and Russia.
Dabolim is an Indian Navy air station, INS Hansa, with a civilian terminal. The Navy runs air traffic control and uses the runway for military flying on weekday mornings, when civilian flights generally cannot operate. Most scheduled flights are therefore packed into the afternoon and evening, so the terminal can be busy at those times.
Go to the prepaid taxi counter near the arrivals exit, where you pay for a fixed-fare slip before the ride. GoaMiles, the government-backed app taxi service, has its own counter alongside. Car rental desks in the arrivals area offer cars with a driver. Avoid offers from people approaching you inside the terminal.
Yes, but it is basic. Local buses and minibuses link the airport area with Vasco da Gama and Chicalim, where you can change for Panaji or Margao. They are often crowded and not very frequent, so they suit travelers with light luggage. Most visitors take a prepaid taxi or a pre-booked car to their hotel.
You need a passport and an Indian visa or e-Visa; Dabolim is one of the airports where e-Visa holders can enter. Foreign nationals and OCI cardholders must also file India's e-Arrival Card online within 72 hours before arrival and show its QR code at immigration. Indian citizens do not need the card.
Yes. The Travel Club Lounge is airside in the domestic departures area, on the second floor near Gate B, and opens daily from 11:00 to 23:00. Priority Pass members can use it, and some lounge programs and cards give access too. Check the terms of your card or lounge program before you go, as access rules change.
Yes. Free AAI Wi-Fi is available in the terminal. To connect, you open the login page, enter a mobile number and type in the one-time code sent to it by text message. If your phone cannot receive the code, mobile data or a local SIM bought after arrival is the alternative.
The airport parking lot is directly outside the terminal building, a short walk from both departures and arrivals. People collecting passengers can wait there or in the seating area of the arrival building, because only passengers with a ticket may enter the terminal itself. Check the charges at the entrance, as they change from time to time.
