Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) is the international airport serving Kingston, the capital of Jamaica, and the south and east of the island. It is a hub of Caribbean Airlines, which flies from Kingston to New York, Toronto, Nassau, Port of Spain and other Caribbean islands. Other airlines link Kingston with Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, Toronto, London, Panama City and the Caribbean, including American Airlines, JetBlue, Delta Air Lines, Air Canada, WestJet, British Airways and Copa Airlines.
All passengers use one terminal, with a departure pier of nine loading bridges and a separate arrivals area and baggage hall.
The airport sits on the Palisadoes, the narrow strip of land that encloses Kingston Harbour, with the city across the water on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other. Central Kingston is about 19 km away by road: Downtown Kingston is usually about 20 minutes' drive and New Kingston about 30 minutes.
From the airport, travelers head to New Kingston and Half Way Tree, Downtown Kingston and the waterfront, historic Port Royal at the tip of the Palisadoes, and further to the Blue Mountains, Spanish Town and Ocho Rios on the north coast. Travelers bound for Montego Bay usually fly into Sangster International Airport (MBJ) instead.
