Ingeniero Juan Guillermo Villasana National Airport, known as Pachuca National Airport, is the airfield of Pachuca, capital of the state of Hidalgo in central Mexico. It is run by the Municipality of Pachuca and sits at about 2,316 m above sea level.
The airport has no scheduled airline service. It is used for private flights, air taxis, flight training and general aviation, and charter or regional airlines have flown here only from time to time. The last regular route, a Pachuca–Mérida service by Mexicana's subsidiary Click, ended in 2009.
Facilities are basic: a small terminal building, hangars and an apron for light aircraft, with one 2,200 m runway.
Travelers going to Pachuca, Real del Monte or El Chico National Park on an airline flight usually fly into Mexico City's Felipe Ángeles International Airport (NLU), the nearest commercial airport, or Mexico City International Airport (MEX), and continue by road.

Pachuca National Airport has no scheduled airline flights, so you will arrive here only on a private, air taxi or charter flight.
These flights use the small terminal building and the general aviation apron. There is no immigration or customs service listed for this airport, so check with your operator before planning any flight from abroad.
Ground services at the airfield are limited, so arrange your ride before you land: a pre-booked transfer is the simplest way to reach Pachuca, Real del Monte or El Chico. Your operator can tell you where your driver should meet you.
If you are flying on an airline, you will land at Felipe Ángeles International Airport (NLU) or Mexico City International Airport (MEX) instead, and continue to Pachuca by road. Pachuca sits at about 2,300 m, so take it easy on your first day.
Most travelers to Pachuca fly into a Mexico City airport and continue by road.
A pre-booked driver can meet private flights at the Pachuca airfield, or meet airline passengers at Felipe Ángeles (NLU) or Mexico City (MEX) and drive them to Pachuca, Real del Monte or El Chico.
Ground services at the airfield are limited, so do not count on finding a taxi waiting; book your ride in advance.
