Berlin Brandenburg Airport Willy Brandt (BER) is in Schönefeld, just south-east of the Berlin city limits. Most flights use Terminal 1, the main building; Terminal 2, next door, handles some low-cost flights. Both share the same station below the terminals.
Flights from other Schengen countries arrive without passport control. If you arrive from outside the Schengen area, you go through border control first; non-EU travelers are registered in the EU's Entry/Exit System with fingerprints and a photo on their first entry, so queues can be longer. Berlin is on Central European Time.

BER replaced both. Tegel closed in 2020, and the old Schönefeld terminal became part of BER before closing. All of Berlin's scheduled flights now use Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER).
Yes. Messe Berlin and the hotels around it are common drop-offs during trade fairs. Book early, as demand peaks during big fairs, and give the hall or hotel address.
Yes. Hotels in Potsdam and the palaces of Sanssouci can be booked from BER. Enter your address when you book to see the price.
Yes. You can book a transfer from BER to Berlin Hauptbahnhof or any other station for onward trains. Give your train time so the pickup leaves enough margin.
Yes. Apartments and hotels in Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain, Neukölln and Prenzlauer Berg are common drop-offs. Give the full address, including the building entrance, when you book.
