L.F. Wade International Airport (BDA), often called Bermuda Airport, is the island's only airport, on St. David's Island at the eastern end of Bermuda. Bermuda Skyport runs it, and all flights use one passenger terminal that opened in December 2020.
Visitors take the immigration line on the right and show their passport, return ticket and Bermuda Arrival Card confirmation. After baggage claim you hand in your customs declaration and take the green GO lane if you have nothing to declare, or the STOP lane if you do, then walk out through the arrivals hall to the curb, where pre-booked drivers meet passengers.
Bermuda is on Atlantic Time (UTC-4, UTC-3 from March to November), one hour ahead of New York. The Bermuda dollar is at par with the US dollar.
Entry requirements and local notes
Bermuda Arrival Card. Non-resident visitors arriving by air fill in the free Bermuda Arrival Card online before they fly and show the confirmation at immigration; paper forms are available on the plane and at the desk. The pandemic-era travel authorization ended in November 2022.
Passport and return ticket. Every visitor, children included, needs a valid passport and a return or onward ticket. Visa rules depend on your nationality, so check them before you travel.
No rental cars. Visitors cannot rent cars in Bermuda. Plan your ride from the airport before you land; scooters can be rented locally by visitors aged 18 or over.
Dollars at par. The Bermuda dollar is at par with the US dollar, and US cash is accepted everywhere, though change usually comes in Bermuda dollars.
