Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport (BOD) sits in Mérignac, about 12 km west of central Bordeaux. It has three terminals: Hall A and Hall B, which handle most scheduled flights, and billi, a separate terminal for low-cost carriers.

Overnight closure
The terminals close to the public from midnight to 4 a.m., so late arrivals should arrange onward transport in advance.

Bordeaux is on Central European Time, one hour ahead of UTC (two in summer).

About 12 km west of the center. By car it usually takes around 25 minutes outside rush hour, longer when the ring road (rocade) is congested.
Yes. Since 6 December 2025, tram line F runs from a stop in front of the Express parking near Hall B to the city center and Saint-Jean station. A private transfer is the better choice with luggage or for addresses away from the tram line.
Yes. Enter Bordeaux Saint-Jean as your drop-off and give your train time when you book, so the pickup leaves enough margin.
