M. R. Štefánik Airport (BTS) is Bratislava's international airport, in the eastern part of the city next to the D1 motorway bypass. All passenger flights use one compact terminal, opened in 2012, with separate Schengen and non-Schengen gates.
If you arrive from outside the Schengen Area, you pass passport control before baggage claim; flights from Schengen countries skip this step. The walk from the gate to baggage claim and customs is short, and you come out into the arrivals hall, where pre-booked drivers wait.
Bratislava is on Central European Time (UTC+1) and moves to summer time (UTC+2) from late March to late October. Slovakia uses the euro.
