Copenhagen Airport (CPH) is the main international airport of Denmark, in Kastrup on the island of Amager, just south of the City of Copenhagen. It is run by Copenhagen Airports A/S and is the main hub of SAS.
Check-in is split between Terminals 2 and 3, which share one security checkpoint, but arrivals are simple: every passenger collects bags and passes customs in Terminal 3. If you fly in from outside the Schengen Area, you pass passport control before baggage claim; flights from Schengen countries skip it. You then walk out into the Terminal 3 arrivals hall, where the car pick-up point is directly outside.
Copenhagen is on Central European Time (UTC+1) and moves to UTC+2 for daylight saving time in summer.
Entry rules. Denmark is in the Schengen Area. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you travel.
Going on to Sweden. If you are heading to Malmö or elsewhere in Sweden, carry your passport or a valid ID card, because ID checks can take place on the route across the Øresund.
No Uber in Denmark. Uber does not operate in Denmark, and app-based rides at the airport run through licensed taxis. Use the official taxi rank or your pre-booked driver rather than accepting ride offers inside the terminal.
